National Institute for Training of Highway Engineers (NITHE) is the apex training institute set up to address the training needs of Highway and Bridge Engineers in the country. The Institute was set up in the year 1983 with the primary objective to fulfill the need for training of highway engineers at the entry level and during the service.

NITHE conducts regular training programmes for the Engineers from Central and State Govt. Departments. It also conducts customized training programmes for Engineers of Central and State Govt. Departments and PSUs, Public and Private Sector at their behest.
