General guidelines

Nominations

Nominations are invited for the training programmes as per Training Calendar for the year 2011-2012.
Nominating authorities are requested to send details of nominated officers viz. mailing address, phone number, mobile number and email IDs.

Who can apply

  • Employees and officials in Government connected with the subject matter of the training.
  • Having 5 years minimum work experience.
  • Who are medically fit.

How to apply

  • Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format through the sponsoring Government Department/Authority designated to nominate the candidates.
  • The sponsoring Departments/Authority may forward the applications to the Academy at the earliest for registration.
  • In case of candidates from PSUs/ Autonomous organizations as well as the private candidates / free lancers/ Private organizations , the candidates or their organizations may submit the registration form directly to this Academy along with the prescribed fees.

Eligibility Criteria for admission to courses

  • Must have required academic qualifications as laid down by the Institute.
  • Must have working knowledge of English to follow the course.

Key Constructs for the candidates from Ministry of Road Transport and Highways/ Border Road Organization/ State Government Public Works Departments:-

  • Limited seats will be available for the listed course, as per training calendar. Registration is purely on first-come-first-serve basis
  • For the Officers from Ministry of Road Transport & Highways/State PWDs/BROs, boarding and lodging charges will be at applicable minimal rates.
  • Participation per organization is generally limited to 2 candidates.
  • Nominations must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the programme commencement date.
  • Nominated Official must attend the training program until & unless prior exemption is obtained from the Academy.

Key Constructs for the candidates from PSUs / Autonomous Organizations / Private Sector Organizations / Free Lancers / Others:-

  • Limited seats available for the above mentioned course. Registration is purely on first-come-first-serve basis.
  • For candidates from NHAI/RITES/Other PSUs/Private Sector, fees at the rate of Rs. 4000/day/head will be charged. Fee includes the lodging, boarding and other stay facilities at Academy Hostel beside the training course material. Fee does not include any expenses towards travel/airfare/ Medical expenses.
  • Registration form must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the programme commencement date.
  • Fee to be deposited within 1 (one) week, after registration is confirmed.
  • Nominated Official must attend the training program until & unless prior exemption is obtained from the Academy.
  • No refund is permitted after registration is made or the course is partially attended.

Key Constructs for International Participants (outside India):-

  • Limited seats available for the above mentioned courses. Registration is purely on first-come-first-serve basis.
  • For candidates from outside India, fees at the rate of Rs. 8000/day/head will be charged. Fee includes the lodging, boarding and other stay facilities at Academy Hostel beside the training course material. Fee does not include any expenses towards travel/airfare/ Medical expenses.
  • Registration form must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the programme commencement date Fee to be deposited within 1 (one) week, after registration is confirmed.
  • Training fee to be deposited in Indian Currency only.
  • Registration form must accompany the medical certificate in the prescribed format.

Note: Cancellation of nomination is not accepted. However, change in nominations with suitable replacements may be considered.

Registration

Registration shall commence between 9:00 to 10:00 hrs. on the inaugural day of the training programme.

  • Attendance shall be recorded on every day and every session during the training programme.
  • Absence during the lectures, except for self sickness (in which the Course Coordinator / Director must be informed), shall not be tolerated.
  • Candidates who require time to settle their official issues at the M/o RT&H/ NHAI/ IRC or for other personal reasons may plan their trip accordingly..

Course Fee

  • No Course fee is charged from the Engineers nominated by M/o RT&H, State PWDs and BRO.
  • Candidates from other than these organizations are required to pay the Course fee applicable for their courses, as given in the Training Calendar.
  • Course fees once paid shall not be refunded except in the case of cancellation of the training programme in toto.

Note: Though the participants nominated from M/o RT&H/State PWDs/BRO are not required to pay any course fee, but they need to pay lodging and boarding charges.


Accomodation

  • Academy comprise a 90-bedded hostel with Dining and Recreational facilities.
  • AC Double Rooms and AC Single Rooms are available.
  • In case of nominated candidates no separate booking of rooms are required. However, prior information about arrival is welcome.
  • A Common Room with adequate recreational facilities, such as Internet, Television, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc., is available for the candidates in the Hostel.
  • Besides this, a Badminton court is also available within the Hostel premises.

Candidates accompanying family

Candidates are generally not encouraged to bring their families while they take part in the training programmes. However, with the prior permission of the Director, NITHE families may be permitted to accompany their spouse undergoing training.

Note: The boarding and lodging expenses for the accompanying members will be counted extra and will be charged to the candidate on per member basis.


Boarding and lodging charges

Room Charges Rs.500/- Per Bed/ Per Day (includes Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Note:

  1. The above rates include Boarding charges and are applicable for engineers from Central / State PWDs, Border Roads Organization and M/o RT&H.
  2. In case of candidates who have paid the Course Fees, they need not pay the boarding and lodging charges, as course fee is inclusive of these charges.
  3. In case of families accompanying course participant, Boarding charges, on actual basis, shall be charged along with Lodging Charges as given above.

Medical Facilities

  • First Aid is available in the campus itself.
  • A number of Doctors are available within 2 Kms radii for general consultation / therapy.
  • Fortis Superspeciality Hospital is within one KM from the Academy.
  • In addition, Kailash Hospital, Dharmshila Cancer Hospital, Prakash Hospital, Vinayak Hospital, etc., are within 8 Km radii from the Academy
